People are more likely to complain when the cupholder jams in their 50k luxury car than in their 12k econocar.

Yeah, I know that is correct too. Still, the cupholder should not jam in 50K car. It is a sign that they are not really worth the money they try to collect. A 50k car should be perfect. A 12k car should be somewhat flawed.

I'd also like to know exactly where they found a 999 for $12,000...

Anyways, this, as with any speed test, can't really be counted as "completely realistic" as it's different vehicles, different operators...just too many unknown variables.

*edit* I went to that place's website and they actually have a table of the lap times for the vehicle's they've tested. The Ducati was the 4th fastest they'd tested and a GSX-R1000 was the 3rd fastest. I'd never heard of the top two cars though, Westell or something like that...

Being bikeless SUCKS!!!

thats 12,000 pounds not 12,000 dollars.

thats actually the MSRP of the bike in the UK

to be honest if the Gallardo had decent tires he would have smoked the bike. He was sliding all over the place for most of the run.

Love the sound of that lambos engine though.

as for high dollar sports car onwers not racing their cars, it all depends on the brand of car. Porsches are a common sight at track days and autox competitions. Ferrari has a production spec racing series for the 360 modena (and its replacement of which I cant remember its name)
