jackets
im looking to get all my gear together, and i just got a helmet and gloves getting a jacket soon but im confused on weather i should get a leather one or a "mesh" one.
the mesh ones seem to have more padding shoulders and such, wouldnt this be better?
although im told leather is the best thing to have.....
so this is where i am confused. thanks

It really depends on what you're looking for. Leather has traditionally been known to provide the best protection, while textile and mesh are much cooler. Of course, technology has advanced alot lately and textile/mesh, while I still don't feel like they're on the level of leather, are very very strong.
If you're in an area that's always hot I'd go for a mesh jacket, some come with leather arms to give added protection. If it's hot/cold then you can go for a leather jacket with a lining or textile, or whatever your lil' heart desires.
Leather is generally much more expensive than textile.
As for padding, I'd say it's about equal in all makes.
