You can be sure that'll come out next year.
It's a quantum leap in style for sport-bikes.
The real question is what's going to be under that fairing?
Definitely we'll see the YCCT or whatever it's called used in the throttle control, and similiarly ludicrous redlines (maybe this one WILL hit 17,500).
But does Yamaha hold any other surprises for us?
Will we get a 6 cylinder motor? Variable valve timing?
Here's hoping...

OR maybe it is just someone having fun with photoshop...or Yamaha throwing around some concept designs.
Personally (and I think I'm the only one) I think the bike is kinda ugly...but hey, it's all personal preference.
And I highly doubt they'll be hitting 17.5k RPM's on it, literbikes tend to have much lower redlines than their 600cc counterparts.

Now that one I actually like. I think it was the front fairing on the first pic that irked me. That one is just the front of the current R1 with the side fairing of the new R6.

Isn't that a really boring evening talk show similar to 60 minutes?Heimdall Einherjar wrote:It looks like a bike from 2020 or something.
*edit* while walking past a stack of MC mags, I noticed an FZ-1 on the front cover. The front fairing is very similar to the front fairing on the original picture. So from what I can discern that blue bike is an R6 rear with a modified FZ-1 front. Still donno if it's real (as I said, a local shop has the same pic on their website) or if it's someone having fun with photoshop...
If it is new though I really like what they did with the front turn signals. I very flush.
