The problem is the less fit can accidentally take out the fittest.
True, but in this case it sounds like the car drivers are the less fit. I think a person has to "graduate" to a motorcycle, after possessing a better than average grasp of automotive physics and driving skills.

I apologize for confusing the issue. My survival of the fittest comment was a response only to the post before it.

I think people shouldn't be allowed to drive until they've actually proven they're capable of doing so.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

The law was recently changed here in Ohio. Used to be you had to wait until you were 16 to get a learner's permit, then you could take the test whenever. Now you can get your permit at 15-1/2 but you have to wait six months and log so many miles (can't remember how many) with a trainer before taking the test and obtaining your license.

I'll admit I laughed way too long at this.

So, I read gas is heading over $3 per gallon this summer. Maybe we won't have to outlaw 'em. Maybe 'natural selection' will make 'em obsolete

I say we go after him like we did the last. I hate Safety Nazis (and Illinois Nazis too). :)
