You and Your Bike: Post a Pic
John - I'll probably want to get myself a Power Commander and have a custom map done to tap into the bike's full potential but it looks and sounds mean. I thought the cost was worth it since it is so unique and demands attention. Pulled up next to a fella on a new sportbike yesterday and he just about broke his neck doing a double-take. The company owner called me yesterday and asked about the install and said he'd like to put my bike on their web site since I am the first Warrior owner to install one - kinda neat. BTW - love your ride too!
Take 'er easy and if it comes easy, take 'er twice!
def. get the power commander-it will open up that fi..i got the dyna3000 for mine and advanced the timing and raised the rev limit and the sabre freakin screams down the road. A guy down the road has a warior with a stage 2 or stage 3 kit from some company in cali..(new cams, heads ported/polished/flowed, remap with new tune on fi..the whole works(hella expensive) but it will rip your arm out of their sockets..haha-its just shy of being a drag bike..
I was actually thinking about gettin the pipe you got on because they make it for the sabre but went with custom pretzel twist hellbent knockoffs-guys taking forever though-darn chromers!!
Keep up the good work...

My buddy Pat on his 1985 VMax and me on my 1988 Shadow 800 (custom flame job). Bring on the warm weather.

I didn't know VMAXs were around then, for some reason I was thinking they were relatively new bikes. Oh, but nice paint job on the shadow.

Thanks, I really like the flames. I even got flame mirrors off Ebay.camthepyro wrote:I didn't know VMAXs were around then, for some reason I was thinking they were relatively new bikes. Oh, but nice paint job on the shadow.

Ya, the Yamaha VMax came out in 1985 to compete with the Honda V65 Magna. See link below...
