I have a 6 amp charger. Do I need to remove cables from battery to recharge? Or do I leave everything in place? How long will a recharge take?
Thanks
Battery died from lack of use.

You shouldn't need to pull the cables off the battery first to recharge, unless there is a short or some other power draw issue.
How long it takes depends on the condition of the battery and how low it is. If you can leave it charge on a 2 amp setting for a few hours, that's good. If you can only dump 6 amps, keep an eye on it so it don't boil after an hour or so. Then test it and see if it's good or needs to go longer.

No Witnesses....

Battery
Thanks, the charger is a old and primitive one. The only setting it has is 6 vs 12 volt. I hooked it up an let it sit for about 4 hours. When I disconnected there was a bubbling noise at the battery. Is the boil you were referring to?
Thanks and good morning.
