in regards to sitting up and using only one hand to drive, do you guys rest your left arm on your leg using your fist, or kinda of lean forward putting your left forearm on the gas tank etc. please elaborate im just curious no real motive here

well then there must be alot of squids because 90% of the sport bikes i see ride in an upright position with one hand, they appear to be wearing gear, they are maintaining a safe speed limit....jmillheiser wrote:You would have to ask a squid that question.
i dont know seems kinda wierd you guys throw that word out for everything that is somthing different. i didnt say it was the safest or the smartest thing to do but i know some of the sportbikers do it on this forum so let me know squids

are you trying to bait the sportsbike riders among us?
Theres a long, more or less, straight road between Nottingham and Leicester - I've been known to take a hand off the bars to get feeling back into it.
Otherwise, yeh, Tankslappers make the Winterking cry...

Re: sitting up position for sportbikes
i do it only but only when im riding straight, im not yet good enough to manuever the bike w/ one hand at corners.skinnyjoint wrote:this was touched on another thread but i wanted to make one of its one.

i rest my hands on my legs and mostly open to relax it for a while.
i also ride one hand to give a quick thumbs up to my escort car and that's my signal to them to take pics.
