Vermi, what some of these people are trying to tell you without saying it out loud is that you could be putting yourself in a position for a sexual harrassment complaint. I am NOT saying that you are going to try to harrass anyone. But, if this budding relationship does not work out all it takes is a few well placed words to your employer to get you on the streets without a job. And with a harrassment black mark on your record to boot.

The sad thing is that a lot of these lawsuits are unfounded and have no merit whatsoever. But ill feelings between male and female co-workers have a very nasty habit of working out very badly for the male of the species.

Again, I am NOT saying that you would do this. This is why these people are telling you to find someone to date that does not work in the same place as you. There are a lot of available women out there. Go find one that has an anime/scarf fetish!

i see... so it's about framing me or setting me up for a sexual harrassment vioaltion.

people know me at work for being a nice guy, most people even see me as being too innocent, whenever they say dirty words, they tell me to cover my ears, or they appologize to me for saying it.

i doubt they'll immediately brand me as an offender w/o any solid proof.

anyway... i understand now that this not only risk me emotionally but also legally.

it's funny though, i was never asking for advice when i posted this. but thanks for the warning anyway.

Dude, I would love to take you to work with me for just one day. You would go home with your eyes glazed over and your ears bleeding, in addition to the bruises and cuts on your extremities. 'Indroduction to the Oil Patch 101' with us rednecks might have you curled into a fetal position for a week......

And the chance to knock some sense into you would be priceless.....

Sokay, we all have to learn the hard way. Your boss doesnt care about your personality, or what you are likely to have done. They care about the threat of a lawsuit that, in these days, requires little more than a good story to force a settlement of some kind.

this bulletin just in --Verm has been convicted of lewd and lascivious conduct at the workplace.before the judge sentenced him to 40 years hard labor Verm was heard to mutter "hunnhhh,what???

yeah, i mean when i asked... she said they don't have a lot of animals there in the rescue place right now.

she's not lying since she already mentioned it before a couple of days ago that they didn't have many rescue animals at the moment

but still... you know, it still sounded like an excuse to me. if she was a bit interested in me then she wouldn't have minded me going there anyway.

oh well, i'll just cry for now.

And Vermi , ya really got to get over all this paranoia

I still don't understand why you couldn't get over it in 30 seconds or less . The no thank you from her if she refused a date . And maybe she was simply telling you the truth about no animals you read too much into .
