I'm just thinking ahead to when I do, I don't want to have to ride around by myself for recreation. Plus, I don't know where the good twisties are.
try using google earth or other good detailed online maps.

you can probably find a twisty road somewhere not so far around you.

Here is a map of the twisties that are just a couple hours away.

Sure, first your riding together. Then its flowers in your hair, and everyone is hugging everybody.

I ride a standard, and don't really feel welcome in either group. Anyway, I'll keep looking, hopefully I'll find someone, or maybe I'll just meet someone who rides, and see who they ride with.
getting bored riding alone already?

yeah, it can get pretty boring.

anyway... good luck and hope you find a riding budy soon.

which reminds me, i haven't met my riding buddy for a couple of weeks now.

how you get bord with riding alone? personally i like it more. Dont have to worry about the guy next to me, just worry about me. then again if i found a competent rider to ride with it itd probably be pretty sweet

Insert something clever and showing an understanding of motorcycle culture here

i have many reasons why i like riding in groups but not too much, i think 5 riders is the most i'll like.

one good reason is i feel more secure and safe and knowing they'll be there in case something goes bad.

like what happened when i crashed... if it wasn't for the person im riding w/, i would have had to call for help like a towing company. i don't think i could have pulled my bike and lifted it up from being wedged in between the guard rail by myself.

Yep.

Just as soon as a bunch of my relatives die and live me a big fat inheritence. That, or I win the lottery.

Then again, they might be the reason you ended up in a crash. If the guy in front of you goes down, it's really easy for him to take you with him. Or the guy behind you might roll over your cor... body.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.
