Check Ebay for gixxer 1000 parts. they may part your bike out on ebay and you could catch them.

as for your next bike, snag up a red/black gixxer 600 and spend the difference on track school and track days. With the type of riding you want to do you will be happier on a 600

And of course a good alarm.

the 600 does look sexier.

if do go w/ the 600 though, i'll have to get a steering damper for it since it doesn't come w/ it stock.

oh well, we'll see what happens.

Why put a steering damper on a bike that doesn't need one?

im sure the 600 is powerful enough to cause tankslappers.

Well any bike can cause a tank slapper, but a steering damper doesn't completely prevent one. Just helps out.

It's useful, but not necessary.

I'm pretty sure a skilled rider could cause a tankslapper on a moped... and avoid it on pretty much any bike.

Keep the front wheel on the ground (or be careful when doing wheelies) and you shouldn't have a problem.

Wow, I'm really sorry Verm! One of the things I like about living in a smaller city (if you count 600,000 as small) is that this sort of thing doesn't happen as often. LA is just HUGE!

Ya, move to a smaller bike, that Gixxer 600 is vurry pretty. Or...try a GS500! Wheeeeeeeeeeee!................

Hope you do catch the bastards!
