Last night Steve got home from work...it was sunny skies and we went for a ride. I had my ride gear on waiting for him to come through the door...I push him back out and says come on lets go! My little motorcycle is still brand new. We are still breaking in the motor. Steve says when the motor gets broke in we are going to take out the baffles, put a new air intake on it, and jet the carbs. I'm going to help. It was a nice ride got to watch the sun go down.

It is oh happy day today, I'm going on another ride...if all goes right in the world tonight will make three nights of riding this week. :P

i ride every day reguardless of he weather pretty much, but when the weather is really nice (like today) its nice to escape the city and get out where you can really lean into some turns and not have to fight cabs and traffic lights.

LOL Good for you! My wife has done the same thing - and will likely do it even more now that she's bought her own bike. :)

So, I gotta ask, what does it cost to rig your Ural for wheelchair controls?

I have seen cars set up for it but never bikes... that's pretty cool.

I saw a hayabusa set up for a wheelchair once, I'll see if I can find the pics.

God forbid it ever be the case *knocks on wood* but in that situation, I would get a Goldwing trike, yank the seats, and put a lock-in system for the wheelchair, get raked back handlebars and thumb-shifters.

It all reminds me of Ozzfest 2004, WA, when a dude in a wheelchair was crowdsurfing.
You just don't let that dodo stop you... you defy and spit in the face of your misfortune.

I see a market in designing/modifying bikes for disabled people... especially given the injury-promoting nature of the sport.

Holy crap that sounds cynical, but I don't mean it that way.
People will get hurt and people will not just want to quit because of it, so the best thing you could do is allow them to continue.
