help locating part

i need a starter switch for a 1975 honda cb750 f and have been unable to locate one, the part i'm talking about is the button you push to start the bike. anyone know where i can find one?

And sometimes http://www.oldbikebarn.com/index.php is good for these parts. Other that that, you gotta watch ebay like a hawk. I'm thinking of getting another honda cb550F next time one comes up on ebay near me - I'd keep in in a my shed and use it for parts :wink:

can't find it on any of those but thanks for trying guys, is there any reason i couldn't just hook up a push button toggle switch?

I dont see why that wouldnt work - they do the same thing. Hell, I used to run demo derby cars and some guys didnt even use the ignition, they just had two wires they crossed when they wanted to crank the starter. It just wouldnt be as pretty. By the way, as you search on ebay, remember that you can probably use parts from +/- a couple years off the 750 K. Best to check with honda to see which years fit your bike.
