What's a good mesh jacket?

I've been looking at these, but I don't know which brand will give me the most protection. I like them all, none really stand out but I don't want to buy something known for poor quality. Also- if you know of any other good jackets for under $150 that you think might be better than these let me know.

I want to make sure I have a jacket for the hot weather. Dress for the crash and not the ride as they say, so even though mesh does provide less protection. I plan to wear one of these draggin mesh shirts underneath http://www.dragginjeans.com/Accessories.htm

I've always believed you get what you pay for, I don't know about any of those, but this is the one I bought...

All season is about as close as you can come to describing this jacket. A one piece panel zips right out of the; arms, chest and back, leaving all your armor in place and giving you a mesh jacket. It also comes with a weather proof liner, a well thought out design.

Ok so as to prevent a new topic I got a question that's somewhat related.

What's the difference between mesh and textile? Better protection? Looks? Better at getting air through?

Ive got the First Gear jacket and I like it...it has a zippered removable liner inside, perfect for summer.

Mesh is just what it says, MESH.

Textile is usually something like the Rock-Tex 660™ that my Joe Rocket has as an outer shell...

well, since mesh has a bunch of holes in it, I'd have to guess that it lets airflow in better...thats kinda the point of mesh.

Look better? Thats entirely relative to one's opinnion.

Better protection? You should really be wearing armor with both a mesh jacket or a textile and that is primarily what is going to save you.

Imagine a fishing net and a bed sheet, which do you think would let the air flow better? As for protection, the mesh it's self doesn't have much, but the jackets usually have armor just like the textile ones. This is the reason I bought the convertible version...

Wouldn't the outside jacket prevent the airflow still? To me that'd be like, using hte fishing net again, draping the net over a brick wall and expecting the wind to go through it easier.

huh?
the jacket Dr showed you has panels that you take off to reveal the mesh parts. It shows it in the link he sent. Thats why its a good all season jacket because you can elect to have the panels on ( which means its warmer) or off ( which means the mesh shows and you get more ariflow).

No, the mesh doesnt do much for you when its under the textile portions
