!@#$ It fell

Took a fun ride up Prefumo Canyon today (lots of twisties). I needed it after the test I took in fluid mechanics. It was a lot of fun, I even saw my roommate and his girlfriend at the top. They just happened to be up there at the time. Well I took it into the dirt to park and take some pics. I get off of it and start to take my helmet off, and just then the damn thing rolls forward just enough that the kickstand folded back up and it falls over in the dirt. Wasn't too worried at first, but upon closer inspection, the turn signal lens broke and the end of the clutch lever snapped off. The windscreen now has a tiny crack in it too, and a piece missing, but that's hardly noticeable. So pissed off. Oh well... at least it's an old bike, and it's mostly rebuilt anyway. Just had to vent. It was still a fun ride though!

Aw that sucks dude.

Did the wind knock it over? Or did the kickstand sink into the dirt?

Might wanna invest in a kickstand puck.

Or a crushed coke can. Same effect.
Have fun on the open /¦\

That sucks, if it makes you feel any better I did the same thing in my driveway when I just bought my brand new bike and it only had about 200 miles on it. :)

Sorry to hear about that. That's why I always leave it in first and shut off the engine, no chance of rolling.

If it makes you feel better at least you didn't drop it in front of a lot of people at a McDOnald's parking lot and struggle to pick it up . I had pulled in and the kickstand was on a bump and it made me think it was all the way down... you can figure the rest...
One thing you can count on: You push a man too far, and sooner or later he'll start pushing back.

Your bike is a puppy dog. Haha
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.
