Lucky SOB... my fiance (will be wife in two weeks exactly) is getting rather irritated about my motorcycle talk lately... i just remind her that i will be gone for National Guard training for roughly five months, so she better soak up all the Steffen-time she can.. lol

LOL Does she or can she ride with you? I find that having my wife ride with me (either on her own bike or on the back of mine) makes it a lot less stressful. :)

And congrats on your upcoming marriage!

My wife just bought that bike. I've ridden it a few times. It's a fun little bike! I personally couldn't ride it for too long (I don't find the riding position comfortable) but from everything I've read about it, it's a good "beginner" bike.

for some reason i fit the GS500F/gixxer/cbr/YZF great.. i'm 6'2" with a 34" inseam and my body fits just right.

and its nice your wife can ride too.. I'm not allowing my (soontobe) wife to ride by herself.. not like i control her or anything, but has a terrible driving record and if someone p!ssed her off while she was riding, she wouldnt concentrate on her own riding... maybe someday i guess. she is really looking forward to riding on the back of my bike (when i get one.. lol) tho

That's awesome! It is addicting and exhilarating!

Everytime I go out it builds my confidence. The thought of going 70 on the e-way makes me nervous, but I should be ready soon.

Thanks for all the feedback. I took the same ride the next night (Friday) as well. Exhilarating.

My wife is being very supportive about my new hobby. It helps that the week I bought a motorcycle, she bought a deluxe KitchenAid mixer (she is in culinary school, and it saves her a lot of time from manually mixing dough...). And it helps that I love everything she bakes, so it was a win-win buying week...

I got my wife to sit on the back of my seca once...when it was parked....in the driveway.... thats as close as she has come to riding with me... although the Maxim does have a sissy bar on it, so maybe she'll hop on when its running...
