I just bought a new(used) bike and the this morning one of the carbs was leaking fuel from what looks like the bowl gasket.
I moved the bike at lunchtime and now there is no gas and no puddle like this morning...
Thoughts?

The fuel from the bowl had already run out. If your petcock is vaccum fed it would need the bike running (or at least starter turning it over) to pump more fuel into the bowl. So when you moved it at lunch there was nothing else to leak, unless you ran it- then maybe the seal is just bad enough and fails when it's colder (think challenger). Either way, spend the $5 and buy yourself a new seal for your float bowls

Yeah I ran it real good at lunch. So there was definitely fuel in there.
Problem #2 is that I can't get the stupid gasket by itself, only in a $50 set.
I was just thinking and I might not have turned the petcock to off this morning but I know I did when I got back at lunch..could that be it?
