Shifting.... input please!

Hey everyone!
Well i have just went out and purchased a CBR600F2. Just wondering if it was necessary to pull the clutch in fully in order to shift smoothly. it really is quit a long way to pull it. Dont really want to try shifting without the clutch ALL the way in, just to stay on the safe side of things. Hope to hear lotz! thanks everyone!

im gonna take a guess and say, with this bike choice and this kind of question that MSF was never taken.

no i havnt taken the course yet, plan on it as soon as they beggin sometime in the summer for sure. and this bike i understand is powerfull, i've been ridding it and she really takes off but i am not going to abuse that.

I was just curious thats all.

You can adjust the clutch so it has a bit more play so you won't need to pull it in as far.

You need to pull it in so that the clutch completely disengages, it should be doing this somewhere between a 1/2 pull and touching the handle.

That being said, it's not much further to pull it all the way in, and you can be guaranteed to fully release the clutch.

buy a bike that most cant afford as a second bike as a first bike and then take the safety course "when you get around to it". sounds logical.

Actually you know what i got an awsome deal for it. I only paid 3300 and it only has 15,000km on it. so i really dont think i went over board by now means. hey thanks for trying to know what your talking about. better luck next time smart "O Ring"!
