once you get your license, why dont you work on your figure 8 turns in front of his house and for the kicks of it, maybe you can also practice your emergency braking.

In my neighborhood in the suburbs of Chicago, there are lots of motorcycle owners in my community. They all seem to have unbaffled aftermarket pipes too! I dont think anyone minds, though if someone said that to me, i'd be pretty pissed off.

just slowely pull to a stop in front of his house as if your bike is broken, throw it in neutral and just start reving the hell out of it, if he comes out say you don't know what's going on, and you can't figure out why it's nor moving. Then keep reving it as he talks.

When I was 10 there was a guy who used to do wheelies past my bus stop on his... I dunno some sort of sport bike (memory is a little hazy in those details). I would have told him off if I was a parent.

But some guy puttering around on a UJM below the speed limit. Forget him, what you should do is follow him one day in your car and keep a list of every infraction he makes including, but not limited to:

exceeding the speed limit, rolling stop signs, forgetting to signal, forgetting to shoulder check, entering an intersection on a yellow, rolling forward at a red light, passing the stop line at a red light, not signalling, not signalling, not signalling.

Leave a copy of the list in his mailbox. Don't leave your name, or any indication that it was you, don't make any threats, just leave a list of him breaking the law repeatedly, and where it happened.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

Haha, those are good ideas from all of you, especially you sev. That would scare the "poo poo" (haha, I actually wrote poo poo, because I know it's just going to get changed to that anyway) if I found a list of every traffic violation I committed, in my mailbox. What would be even more awesome, is if I followed him to another woman's house, and left a note telling his wife! Ha! That'll teach him!

well, u got the title of this thread right.. Like he has any say on what you can do on your perfectly legal form of transportation. It's like anyone who is a bit older than us 'youngins' (im guessing u around my age - 20) thinks they know better and we have to do what they say.. Not like any of you older and more mature riders here would do that, just general jackasses....

Well, not perfectly legal, considering I don't have my license yet...

But yeah, I'm 17, so I know what you mean about the "youngin" thing. Most people seem to think I'm going to kill myself, but I think I'm being pretty much as safe as I can reasonably be on a bike. The 50 year old harley rider down the street uses a bandana and leather vest for his protective gear, while I'm riding at 20-30 through the neighborhood in a full helmet, leather jacket, gloves, jeans, and boots, on a 450cc bike.

dude, you are a kid riding illegally... of course you are going to be pushed around by a homeowner... and if it escalates, EVERYBODY is going to side with the homeowner. If you had a license, you could at least ignore him... but as it is he's got your balls in a vice.

None of the "I'll show him" antics suggested will have a positive outcome. None of them. If you were legal it could turn ugly... with you breaking the law, ugly would just be the start.

Exactly, which is why I'm not doing anything until I get my license.

What you guys don't understand is we live in a society where nobody cares about anybody else anymore, people just care about their own self wants, and its a never ending battle between what you want and what someone else wants. That neighbor don't care if your legal, if you spent $10K for a new bike, he just cares about himself, if in any little way you are making him uncomfortable he will complain, he don't care if you just got a new bike and ur just learning how to ride, he don't care if you mean no harm to anybody and ur a nice guy, he just cares about himself. Your wasting your time even stopping and talking to this guy. Next time somebody in ur neighborhood waves you over to stop, just ignore him and keep riding. Nice guys finish last.
