what is stage 3, stage 1 dynojet etc?

Ok so I know what rejetting a carberator is, Ive done it. But what is this stage1 stage 3 stuff people talk about? whats the difference between the stages? Is dynojet just a company name?

I'm confused.

The only difference is the size of the main jets included in the kit. You can buy a Stage 1 kit and then buy the same size jets included in the Stage 2 and 3 kits.

So not too huge of a difference. However, they give you a baseline to start from.

thanks for the link earwig, now i get it.

I never realized there were kits fo rthis ype of stuff. I'd usually just try a jet , and it if didnt work, i'd get a bigger or smaller one :)
