The cost to come to this country is incredibly high. One of my coworkers married a girl from Spain and he has had to take off 20 days of work in the last 6 months and spend over $5000 (and he married her, cost and time for a non marriage could be up to 12 years).
True, but just because its hard doesnt mean we can ignore the law. If they really want change, the legal immigrants should lobby for a new law to allow foreigners to work here under certain conditions...but I dont see many legals rallying for the illegals (unless they are related) because really the illegals are just slapping the face of everyone who worked hard to become citizens of this country.
Point: These people work hard to make their lives (and the lives of their relatives) better. They are following a dream, can't blame them, or charge them with a felony, for that.
Yet they dont want to work as hard as everyone who came to the country legally. Most of them dont even WANT to be US citizens, they just want to work here and take the money back to Mexico. Is that good for OUR economy? Heck no. They have a bad economy so they'll just steal some of ours. Its leaching.
Point: The children of these immigrants are US Citizens (if born in the US). They are going to school, the school of the country that they are members of. Want to deport a Husband and Wife with a US citizen child?
Sad, but they also aren't paying for those schools. Unless they use a false social security number (which makes them identity thieves, forgerers, and felons in itself) they do not pay taxes. Services in this country are not free, and we as taxpayers should not be paying to educate citizens of other countries when our school systems can barely handle educating our own!
Know how these 'illegals' get here? Most ride on a train from the south. This ride is famous for rape, murder and burglary. Not a free ride at all. They didn't just walk into this country, they made a journey.
What does this have to do with anything?

We are all human. We should look out for each other.
Thats right...but we can't help them if we hurt ourselves in the process.
