Okay... and your point is?
That you made it sound like riding a japanese bike was like sitting on a brick.

A good way to fight a stereotype isn't with more stereotypes (those of us that like sport bikes driving at 150 MPH for instance).

Anyways I own a Chevy, Fords break down way too often.

Like a...ah what's the point. It's just adding more fuel.

I was going to say something else, but I realised that king whatsisface who started the thread only has 3 posts and is probably just a troll looking to start a fight.

So, I've said it before, and I'll say it again, different bikes for different people. If you love it ride, but don't knock it, unless it's between your own two legs.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

Dunno, all the mechanics I've talked to have always said Ford's are their main line of business. My grandfather would always joke that if you knew a lot about repairing a Ford you'd be a rich man in a day.

My sister's boyfriend is a mechanic as well and he echos those feelings.

Maybe it's just like Sport bike riders pick on harleys, mechanics pick on fords.

this site is far from a sportbike forum.

I personally think anyone who buys a harley (or any bike for that matter) for the "Image" seriously needs to rethink their reasons for riding in the first place. this pretty much goes for anyone who buys a bike to put off a certain image rather than to simply enjoy the ride.

The "you wouldn't understand" line is typically spouted off by posers when talking down to others. As for the non-posers I think we can all understand each others reasons for having a particular bike. Every real rider has a bike that just feels "right" to them and thats what they prefer to ride.

ROFL... Okay...

If I owe this forum an apology for calling it a sport bike forum, consider it done. Maybe I should have said metric?

Actually I'm just sick of hearing all the negative crap about Harley's. Like the "What is it with Harley Dealerships" thread and this one. I've been treated like $hit in a Suzuki dealership, so it's not a Harley exclusive club, but I don't see any Suzuki bashing threads.

And my "You wouldn't understand" comment carries a lot of weight. I don't understand the thrill most of you guys get tooling the twisties at unreal speeds. I don't ask. I don't care. That's not why I ride. And I'm not talking down to anyone, unlike some of the responses to my comments. It seems because I choose to ride a Harley and you don't, that gives you lisence to put me (read: harley riders) and the bike down all you want.

Whatever. The more I try to find common ground with you (rhetorical you) guys, the more I see that there's an ocean between us. Good job!
~ It's not the quantity of miles -- It's the quality of the ride ~

I like your sig. Are only you allowed to poke good natured fun at your bike?
