In every state I've lived in, you'd need the title to do that. I keep the registration and insurance card under the seat. They are of no value to the thief (unless he feels remorseful and wants to bring my bike back to me  )

Fold those up and tuck them in your wallet.

Keep that "poo poo" on your person. Chances of them taking your wallet AND your Bike at the same time are slim. If you lose one, you can use the other to slowly get back the one you lost.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

I keep them in a zip lock bag. When I'm on the Vulcan, they're in the saddlebag, and on the Rebel, they're in a mini tank bag, which I take with me when off the bike.

yup he is right. same with a vehicle. All the insurance card and registration are going to do is put them in jail. However they can put their own insurance on it and drive it but the first time they are pulled over WHAM they get handcuffs :D.

If your smart enough to put your TITLE on your vehicle let alone your person (mine is kept in a fire resistant safe) then you deserve to have your vehicle stolen :D.

heck I just saw a guy who still caries his social security card around with him. now thats just plain stupid unless you need it to get a loan or something I would never carry something like that on my person.

I carry that in my wallet. After years of driving vehicles for a dealership I am used to carrying around the insurance and registration in my wallet so it's nothing new.
