carb cleaning

hey guys, my bike doesn't idle well, i'm assuming it's because of dirty carbs so i'm planning on taking them apart and cleaning them. unfortunately i've never done this before. i've got a '75 honda cl360, a clymer's manual, and a screwdriver. any words from the wise before i begin? thanks in advance!

keep the jets organized... put the same ones back in the same carb. I've heard of problems with mixing them up.

get plenty of clean rags,small tools,screw drivers,long nosed pliers etc .a compessors handy if youve got one.do one carb at a time,strip ,clean ,rebuild and then move to the next.if you can get to a compressor,blow the jets through,do not be tempted to use a strand off a wire brush or similar,you can easily damage a jet..just about finished doing mine today,but i missed a gasket off a float bowl.had to take them off again to fit it.should get them back on tomorrow.xjrjohn

well i didn't get very far. there's a couple screws even my offset screwdriver couldn't reach. so i never even got the carbs off. i kick myself every day for not taking free auto-mechanic lessons in highschool. i have no idea what to do from here.
