You would think people would know being an illegal immigrant is illegal. Not referring to you, JWF. I heard one Mexican say he was here illegal, but he was not a criminal. People are so mentally challenged. He should get on line with other people that want to come in legally. I wish they do build that wall, but I doubt that will happen because of politics.

i think they should make a mile of obstacles with land mines, barbwire and other things that illegals must cross. If they get across then they are in. Oh, not to forget the watch towers with snipers and camera men. With land mines, snipers, and attack dogs it would make great TV. It could be called. What wants to be a US Citizen :)

i had to RE-reply late to this thread after some experience on the vstrom. we all know opinions are like a-holes and i might be in the minority here but i think the vstrom is pretty sharp to look at. its my second bike, first new overall and its extremely comfortable to ride. i needed a great-on-gas do-it-all bike which had a comfy riding position that wasnt gonna make me broke too. i sat on so many bikes leading up to purchasing. honda 599, yamaha fz6, suzuki sv650, buell blast, bandit 1200, and a few others i forget off the top of my head and the vstrom was the choice for me. it was down to the fz6 and the vstrom in the end but the budget gauges and leaned forward position wasnt for me in regards to the fz6.

in regards to the 650 vstrom it might not be the best looking bike compared to others but its not ugly in the least and there are alot of addons for this bike which im in the process of buying. im def. happy with my purchase and have only about 1500 miles so far.

The V Strom 650 is a great bike, its a bike that can do anything, touring, crotch rocket fast, and can go off road, but I would spend the $2000 more and go with the V Strom 1000, its a better engine, sounds better. The only problem I have with the 650 is the engine noise, the piston slap and valve noise, that noise is ok, but to me it has a junky sound, and the 06 models come in 2 colors silver and red, but the silver looks like light powder blue to me. Before you buy it check the insurance rates, I did and its high, its classified as a crotch rocket bike to my insurance co.

yeah the other color although its called silver is actually a powder blue which i dont like. i didnt want the DL1000 because it was about 40-50 pounds heavier and much more on insurance. i had to shop around quite a bit for the 650 as alot of companies wanted to bend me over w/out the lube with their rates. i finally settled with dairyland and got a very very good rate. i dont really care how the can sounds, i dont have my cruiser anymore.

I didn't like that color either, im afraid to say this in this forum, but that light powder blue looks like a girl bike color. Its a great bike, you know the front windshield is adjustable? The only way it will work and keep the wind off of ur face is when its adjusted to the full up postion, and when its up it kinda ruins the whole apperiance of the bike.

actually i purchased a givi windshield which will be arriving shortly which (from what ive read) is very effective and from the pics it looks like its made for the bike honestly. others i looked at were the cee bailey's, vario, and windstrom with the windstrom being the most expensive. the stock shield doesnt do that much although it helps a little at its highest height for me.

oh and yes, that blue powder color is total fem. BRING BACK THE BLACK AND THE BLUE
