Calling all Tri-State riders

#1 Post by Bx RedBull » Mon May 15, 2006 10:57 am

Not sure if this has been attempted and done before but just trying to do this the lazy man's way and find out any and all riders from the Tri-State area of the US, northeast. (I'm talking New York, New Jersey, & Connecticut for those who don't know).

I know I could do a member search and sort by location but like I said, this way's much lazi.. I mean, easier. Plus, not everyone lists where they're from.

In an attempt to compile as many local riders as possible to hopefully go on some big-group rides this season, kindly put down where you're from and what you're riding.

Theoretically (at least us Tri-State riders) can have a simple reference to check whenever they find themselves with perfect weather and no riding buddies.

My apologies for posting here. I know there is the "USA - Local Motorcycle Forum" but when comparing the 70 topics & 511 posts of that forum to the 2022 topics & 28849 posts of "Total Motorcycle Talk" I figured I'd be noticed more easily here. Besides, who wants to scroll ALL the way down the page.
Apolgies x2 as I am still going to post this in the more appropriate "Local Motorcycle Forum".

Down at this end of Jersey, "Tri-State" means New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware!

Yeah, well "tri-state" can be the tri-states of any region. Here it's Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. I guess we can leave this here, but it is confusing because the title doesn't mention New York - just "tri-state". This should still be in the regional forums that have been provided for hooking up. Those interested in chiming in are the ones who will bother to scroll down the page.

Cheers,
Loonette

I am in NJ and down with any rides in the area as long as i have some advanced notice (so i dont promise something to the wife for that day and get in trouble when i break my promise).

Problem with the regional area is i dont think anyone actually pays attention to that area.

Up in Queens, NY
You'll know me just by the Vulcan 500 with dents and scratches on the tank badge and a reflective vest on my sissy bar.

Location:
Just south of Hartford CT. (about 90 miles northeast of Manhattan)
Ride: 2005 Honda Shadow 600

Would be up for a meet sometime this summer as long as I know well in advance. I have some friends that ride too & am sure they'd be willing to go.

Maybe some area in the Hudson River Valley ?

Maybe east long island ? I can easily take one of the ferries from Conn over.

I don't think I'd want to drive a bike in Manhattan tho.
