That's because it is a sports tourer. I'm pretty sure your friend's dad has the 800. (If it is a newer one). To my knowledge, there never was a 600cc interceptor.camthepyro wrote:I don't really like the interceptors all that much. Well, I'm positive it's a 600, so maybe it's not an interceptor... It looks way too big to be a cbr, but I guess I've never seen a cbr600 in person, only the cbr600rr.DivideOverflow

They do make really great sport tourers though! If I had an extra grand to blow, I'd get hardbags for it. Maybe I can find some used ones.
I love the low center of gravity on the Interceptors due to the V-4 engine design, it really feels nice when riding them. Great midrange too! The 1994 VFR750 makes about 90hp to the rear wheel, so I gotta watch myself... it is a bit more than the 68hp that the old one makes. I don't need any tickets to go with my new purchase.
90 something RWHP. There is 103ish hp at the crank.JCViper528 wrote:Only 90 hp? I thought for '94 there were improvements made to the engine to make 100- 109 hp along with lighter weight.
Anyhow, I like the new models because of the sleek body style and the exhaust shape when looking at it from the rear. The only thing that bothers me about new Interceptors is the VTEC and people saying it feels like bad jetting.
And to think I was extremely interested in a V-Strom.
