I was actually thinking of getting this 2006 Interceptor I was looking but I can only have one bike.

I've got the same sickness but it's only when I'm adding parts to it... along with my obsession in upgrading my cell phone, computer, TV etc. Now if I would get into buying some more clothes...

I don't really like the interceptors all that much. My friends dad has a 600, and it just seems way too big for a 600 sport bike, it looks big enought to be a sport tourer.

That's because it is a sports tourer. I'm pretty sure your friend's dad has the 800. (If it is a newer one). To my knowledge, there never was a 600cc interceptor.

They do make really great sport tourers though! If I had an extra grand to blow, I'd get hardbags for it. Maybe I can find some used ones.

I love the low center of gravity on the Interceptors due to the V-4 engine design, it really feels nice when riding them. Great midrange too! The 1994 VFR750 makes about 90hp to the rear wheel, so I gotta watch myself... it is a bit more than the 68hp that the old one makes. I don't need any tickets to go with my new purchase.

Only 90 hp? I thought for '94 there were improvements made to the engine to make 100- 109 hp along with lighter weight.

Anyhow, I like the new models because of the sleek body style and the exhaust shape when looking at it from the rear. The only thing that bothers me about new Interceptors is the VTEC and people saying it feels like bad jetting.

And to think I was extremely interested in a V-Strom.

Well, I'm positive it's a 600, so maybe it's not an interceptor... It looks way too big to be a cbr, but I guess I've never seen a cbr600 in person, only the cbr600rr.

the F series CBR600 is pretty much the same physical size as the RR.

I have only seen 2 600s that can match an interceptor for physical size, the YZF600R and the katana 600.

90 something RWHP. There is 103ish hp at the crank.

I also heard bad things about the V-TEC... mainly that it can mess you up when you are in a curve because of the rush of power... I'll stick with the good old fashioned power-curve.

This is the dyno of the 1998 VFR 800 FI (before V-TEC), the 1994-1997 VFR 750, and the VTR 1000:
Image
VFR800 97.8 @ 10250
VFR750 91.2 @ 9750
VTR1000 101.8 @ 8750

So keep in mind those numbers are measured at the wheel, not the crank (where all manufacturers measure at the crank). And the torque went from 52 rwhp to 55 rwhp from the VFR750 to the VFR800.
