if you do it good. if you dont. good too. lets all stop talking about it!
OK sorry, I didn't realize it had been rehashed that much. Let's drop the subject and have a nice glass of mint iced tea, whataya say all?

That's not the point. If someone doesn't like the subject of a thread, that's no reason to ask others to stop discussing it, even if it's repetitive and has already been discussed to death. Just avoid threads on that topic if you feel strongly about it.

I'm tired of reading articles on the Ninja 250, but you don't see me posting in those threads imploring others to stop talking about them...

I knew countersteering was a controversy, but I didn't know it was a Holy War.

Ride it like you think owning it matters.

Holy War is right. Countersteering is one of those things where who have two camps: one side is absolutely convinced that countersteering is the only way to steer a motorcycle and the other is just as convinced that it's all imaginary. Kinda like "Ford vs. Chevy" or "Emacs vs. vi".

[insert random flame of all people with oppinions different than my own because if you dont agree with me your obviously wrong]

to the starter of this thread, im not trying to hate on you, but threads like this never go anywhere, as you can now see.

there are several threads here with information about counterstearing if you do a search.

if you want to see what "it" is- get on your bike, get going straight about 30-35 mph, push the right handlebar foward about 1.5-2 inches, the bike leans right and starts to stear right, now push left handlebar, bike leans and turns left. its "counter stearing" becasue the front wheel accually points the other way of the direction the bike moves.

i dont know how it works or why it works, i honestly dont care, like sev said, it works all the time so im happy.

pfft ford vs chevy, everyone know chevy wins. I won't even grace the emacs  vs vi  comment with a real response ;)

countersteering = physics. I've got some ocean front property in kansas for those that insist they don't countersteer.

More like the world is flat vs. the world is round.

And by the way, there is no substitute for vi. And don't get me started on System V vs. Berkley.

HP-UX over Sun
Openview over Unicenter
Korn shell over C-shell

Countersteer over crashing in the corner.
