SW VA you say? good roads around here :D well except for the coal trucks...

and definitely take the msf.

Wonder no more, you will need it.

for one, reading about stuff online doesn't equate to the same kind of hands on instruction you get.

folks that have been riding for years will take the MSF and still find things to do better or find out they have been doing things wrong for ages.

insurance can be cheaper in most places if you can prove that you have passed a MSF course

as for the mirrors, there is a helmet manufacturer that makes a helmet with a mirror system in it...might take some getting used to, but it might help if you can't find extenders for your stock mirrors.
