Anyone Willing to Loan a Bike in NJ

#1 Unread post by Chris8187 »

I know this is probably a waste of time, but it is worth a shot. I'm taking the dmv motorcycle test on May 22nd at 9:00am at the Rahway DMV center, would like you to be there at 8:30, so I can get use to the bike. The guy I was renting from now told me he cannot get the bike to Rahway, so I need to find another one. I'm taking the MSF course tomorrow till Friday, so you can be fairly safe I won't drop your bike, plus I have my own and have not dropped that. I have a graduated license, so MSF course won't give me a waiver, and I cannot use my bike because I did not want to insure it until I get a license, since it will drop the price by more than $500. I'd obviously pay for the rental, and I would pay around $65-70. If you want, I will sign a paper agreeing to pay any damages that might happen from me using the bike.

I understand if no one wants to, but I would like to give someone here a chance to make some money before I go to some rental place.

What kind of bike do you have and where exactly is Rahway in NJ?

Why not insure the bike at the more expensive rate for that day, and then get it prorated back to you?

Bad idea. Your MSF course should supply bikes for you. Mine did.

He's not using the bike for the MSF course, he's using it to go take the riding test on the state testing range. Because of the kind of license he has, his MSF course will not result in a state riding test waiver, so he has to go take the state test in addition to MSF.
