Un-"procreating"-believable. That ought to be life sentences. When you stray that far from what it is to be human, you need to be in a cage. And I don't mean a four-wheeled one.

My God, i'm happy he's still alive, but like Sev said, i'm sick to my stomach. If that would have happened to a member of the group i was riding in, my onboard tool kit would have came in handy. =\..

I was reading the forum and it appears this mostly happens to bikers on their way to trails with their dirt bikes and they all seemed to point to the eco-cons and one of them points out they look like freaks. San Francisco is supposed to be the most biker friendly so maybe the judge will be fair.

San Francisco biker friendly? The people may be, but if you've ever been there, you know it would be hell to ride in.

I read it in one of those bike mags. Anyhow, after riding in NYC i think everywhere else should be safer.

What still shocks me is that the guy was wearing a full face helmet and he still got alot of damage on his face.

That is absolutely disgusting. There's no way you can explain this away. The people responsible should be charged with attempted murder.

This happened in an Aussie Biker movie called "STONE" where the biker was decapitated by a Piano wire stretched across the road.

Cool movie, Stupid Idea!

If only punishment really did fit the crime!

It seems they are only getting 8 years behind bars for assault with a deadly weapon.

From the injuries of what I read in the story I think they should've tagged on more than 8 years.

I think 8 years is the very minimum they should get. People can learn alot sitting in a cell for 8 years, but I wish it were more.

Full face MX helmet? Those just plain don't offer the same protection of a street full face. They fall between 3/4 and fullface really. The eye port on MX helmets are usually taller and wrap futher back on the head to make room for goggles, where street full-face helmets don't need to make room for goggles, so they don't.
