I honestly dont understand some of you guys opinions on scooters. I know some of you are too cool to be seen on them, but saying they are any less maneuverable then a motorcycle is absolutely an astonishing, ignorant, completely untrue statement.

Amen. We just sold a Honda Reflex 250 we had for two years. It may not have had huge amounts of power, but was incredibly nimble, and capable of scary lean angles. On a course with all tight turns and no straights, I think it would do well against more powerful but heavier bikes.

OMG do I agree with you.... Especially now that I have sold mine I kinda miss her... Commuting to manhattan was so much fun.... Now yesterday was my first day riding the cruiser in and I don't think I will be doing that again.... Not as maneuverable and definitely much less lane splitting....

250CC Scooter... Topped her out at 90 and she was still dealer restricted... I kinda miss her.... its only been 3 days...

damn thats a good looking scooter.

I bet a scooter would do pretty well on a really twisty stretch of road if pitted against a conventional motorcycle.

lets not forget- the value of a used bike is not NADA or KBB, it is what someone will pay for it in the real world. if gas prices keep going up my 250 will be appreciating in value!

I personally would like to see Kawasaki come out with a new EX250 with fuel-injection and all the high-tech goodies seen in the bigger models.
I'd definitely buy it then.
Anything I get though, has gotta have the legs-on-side design because I just feel dumb on a scooter.

im comming to agree with you and others. I-fly, you have a ninja500, its gotta get from 40-50mpg and if its not then you got something wrong with ti. Spending the money of a 250 is gonna be a finacial loss. If you want to save gas, sell the 500 and get a 250 and gear, or a scooter if you really want to save money, though being way to concerned with your image i guess a a scooter is out the question. If you were really worried about saving money then you would look at scooters as they get amazing MPG, so final line. Gettin a 250 is a dumb finacial decision, bashing scooters cause they are lame, is just stupid.

Thanks.... and honestly I did a ride up to the mountains on it with a bunch of Vespas and it was pretty fun...

And to the comments of others, scooters are not cheap... That one I sold was an 06 Aprilia.. I paid 5500 for it...
