Are they still really that bad? What are you all using?
When I did my oil change last week I put on a fram oil filter I got from dennis kirk. I was just reading a few websites that mention how bad they were and there was a nationwide recall back in 1995 (I guess for cars).
I did come across one brand for motorcycles that looks to be of good quality which is the perf-form oil filters. Now, I'm going to buy those and use them likely, but would you all say that I should remove the fram and replace it right away or wait for the next oil change? Personally if fram were that bad I'd think they would be out of business, but I'd like to get everyone's thoughts.

I wouldn't worry about it. For all the horrible press going around about Fram, the chances of the filter failing on your are extremely slim. If you are really paranoid you can change it, but I would not.
Something to keep in mind is most auto parts stores can get you a filter for your bike. I ordered both spin-on (like a car) and donut oil filters, Wix and NAPA Gold, from auto parts stores and it was much cheaper than the Frams the local Schuck's carries.

1995 is a long time ago. At least they were honest about it and did a recall.
As for myself I use Honda oil filters. I don't like the hassle of ordering stuff online that has a low value. I'd rather pay more and get it right away. Plus I can return it if I manage to pick the wrong one by mistake or the wrong filter is in the box.
I use a Fram motorcycle filter and it works just fine .

Fram filters leak around the bottom crimped seam, you don't need that to happen when ur 200 miles from home. I suggest to purchace the bike brand filter. SAE tested and rated the best oil filters 2 years ago, the best are Mobil 1, Puralator Pure 1, Hastings, NAPA, Wix, and AC Delco.

You can go ahead and leave the filter on that you are using now but, there is son much contraversy about what kind of oil and filter to use these days that i just buy hon oem filter and 10 40 oil. The honda wings will make you fly.
