It would if the rear tire had become out of line with the front. If you catch it early, it's quite recoverable.

My real point was that you should be ready on the clutch and pull it in before the engine locks the rear wheel. 9 times out of 10, the engine will give you a warning before it locks up completely. If you're flying down the road with your hair on fire and you feel a power reduction, the safe bet is to pull in the clutch and coast to the side of the road to investigate.

This used to be standard practice in the olden days of 2-stroke street bikes. They were incredibly fast, but had a habit of overheating and seizing up when pushed too hard. You just coasted to the side of the road, let it cool for 1/2 an hour, and you were on your way again.

In this case he said the reason he was slowing was that something wasn't right with the engine.... it just finally locked the wheel at 90....

Thank you for all your concern regarding my incident. I can now see that if something actually did happen to myself, most of you guys wouldn't really care or feel bad because I like to ride fast and I like to comment about my bike alot. Gee, I feel all warm inside! Your all a great bunch of guys! Thanks!

So after finding out you're okay we're not allowed to keep talking and should just let the thread die. Sorry. I'll remember that in the future.

I'm confused on that comment? Are you asking me if you should keep talking or you should let the thread die? What I was talking about was the comments leaning towards that if I did crash, I deserved it. Regardless of my riding style, I did not appreciate some of the comments. Like I said, you guys are a great bunch of guys that really deserve the 'biker' title, not me.

It seems to me that what has been said is no different than before your 'incident'.

Your riding style is more aggressive than most of the riders who post on this board.

Are you going to get upset now, when this same riding style may have actually put you in harms way?
