Ok, I was just checking out the site, the 900cc Lightning was pretty cool. I guess I was thinking 900cc would be ALOT of horspower, but it's only 92hp, which is less than most 600cc bikes, it just has alot of torque. I think they're pretty cool, another bike to seriously consider getting next, if, of course, I can afford it.

the lightning is not a bad machine at all. very comfy, but if you dont like rearset pegs look elsewhere the lightnings pegs are up high and pretty far back, which I dont mind.

the engine on either model will have lots of immediate power without having to rev.

I have heard they are very flickable and great on turn in, but can get a little shaky coming out of a turn hard.

the lightning is on my list of potential next bikes, but I will probably get something else, the lightning is just too damn expensive for what you get.

Sharp bike!

A salesman at a dealership was telling me how he took one home a few nights a week. He liked the ride and the bikes feel.

Are those black arrow-like things the frame sliders? If so, man, they look like an actual part of the bike. Very hot, unlike the cancerous-growth-sliders found on 99% of sportsbikes.

Yeah... they work great, lots of Buell owners that I know/have talked to have pics of them after a fall/slide and of course they need to be replaced after each use (which hopefully is not very often!) but they are only 40 bux.
