I was going to suggest a GPS as well, but I was beaten to the punch.

Here in Alberta, there are "odometer test" sections marked on some highways. It's a 10km stretch, with markers once every km. That and a stopwatch will let you find out just how accurate your speedo is.
Please don't tell me mother that I work in the oilpatch...she still thinks that I'm the piano player at a whorehouse!

Ok, so how do you adjust the speedo after you find out how much it's off by?
One way is by installing a SpeadoHealer.
