a freind is getting married, he's selling his 2004 Kawasaki Ninja 250 , like new, he never rode it that much cause he's a beginner when he bought it, then the fool fell in love with a girl that was too heavy to go with him riding on the back and he just lost instrest in the bike, the bike mostly sat for 2 years, he's selling it for $2000, bike is like new, 700 miles. I have a chance to buy it, its not the kind of bike I want, but my greedy side is thinking maybe If I do buy it I could sell it and make a profit on it, I think I could sell it for $3000 and make a quick $1000, but he may get mad at me if I do that, I am invited to his wedding. Or should I tell him I don't want it and he could sell it for $3K? He's a real good guy and his girl hates my guts, but he's always with her, he's not much of a friend anymore, he spends all his time with her and I know she's the one that told him to sell the bike, so If I do buy it and sell it, im losing a friend I never had in the first place, huh?

Do it. Try and get up his chick while you are at it.
Might as well be a complete arse.

you sound bitter. this thread is silly. i didnt realize this is a messageboard where people come to learn ethics. do you play for the other team at all? what kind of a friend would try to make a profit off another?

I'm pretty sure he goes by the latter.

Be a real friend and tell him to go ride his bike and leave his fat girlfriend at home 8)

Guy buys bike, wont ride it because his girlfriend is too heavy to ride pillion, girl orders boy to sell bike and he does for a steal? - he probably just wants to get rid of it ASAP. Mention he could probably sell it for more if he's patient, but you'll take it off his hands now if he's desperate.

I dont think anything you do will save your friendship because she's got him on a choke collar. Not to worry, buy the bike, sell it, save the money, and when they get divorced, take your bud to Mexico.

He wasn't planning on selling it, but I was kidding around and I offered him $2K for it, he's a real good guy, now his girlly friend ordered him to sale it cause he's henpecked and shes in charge, but he's such a good guy I would feel bad to take advantage of him, but when it comes to her, I would, but I never told him that he could get more money for that bike yet, he's selling it to me for that price cause he trusts me. I was thinking I could buy it then sell it without telling him how much I sold it for and tell him the bike didn't suit me. He wasn't planning on selling it, but I gave him and her the first idea to sell it. He had that bike before he started dating her and now he's in love and maybe shes you know. If I don't buy it someone else is going to get a bargain.

I'm glad you're not my friend. No offense.
