I painted the plastics, and I still hate this motorcycle

#1 Unread post by moto_hanki »

I painted the plastics on my Seca. It had left side damage to the fairing and the windshield was yellowed and the rest of the plastice were faded. So I painted them black, which looks like crap. I hate this motorcycle and I don't know what to do about it. If I sell it I won't get as much as I would need to get something else.

I did get a new windshield off of e-bay and that looks better, but still...

What can I do? Anyone want to trade for a Ninja 250?

You could always make it a "stunt" bike.

I think it'd look awesome if you took off the front/nose fairing thing.

I'll trade you for my nighthawk :D

I would so love to have your Nighthawk. The bigger ones are not very common around here, and people don't want to sell them. I can't figure out why Honda stopped making the 750, its the perfect motorcycle.

Without the front fairing, the head lamp would need to be replaced and the wirinf hidden. It doesn't look very good with out the fairing.

With the emergence of the 599 and 919, they didn't need a low-tech 750 splitting the difference. Unfortunately, it was just about the perfect sized bike for a lot of people and a lot of uses. I'd like to see them build a modern 700SC with the bikini fairing, shaft drive, and top shelf suspension.

Me too, I might buy an early 90's Nighthawk 750 in a year or so, but maybe not. I love my nighthawk, so if it's basically the same thing with more power, I'm all for it.

Id just try to find something a bit less clunky looking... shouldnt be hard to find seca parts, I am not doing bad online for them.

I actually got to ride a 599 last week and I liked it alot compared to my hawk.... Seemed smoother, revved better.. Although I like the 919 as well but i'm sort of in a rut decided if I like cruiser or sport better.... I love my shadow for weekend rides but I love the 750 for commuting and short runs... Might end up buying a 919 next year unless I can find a cruiser that will do both for me..
