Tinted shield is much nicer than clear+sunglasses IMO. I carry a clear shield for night (it takes me 1 minute 20 seconds to swap... I timed myself yesterday)...Scott58 wrote:I stick with clear and wear sunglasses. Don't you guys have reduced visability at night?
Mirrored vs. Tinted face shields

I just got a light tint one and it's good for wearing by itself or with my sunglasses. Quite nice. There was a mirrored one on a helmet I borrowed once and it was very nice but had huge scratches on the sides.
Police don't like bikers to wear the dark tinted ones and the mirrored ones here in the evenings and are known to pull riders over.

if I dont have my saddle bags on the bike I can carry the sheild around one hip pretty easily, snug the jacket so it dont go for a ride without you, but it stays in pretty nice. I bet I would make a couple straps inside the jacket to do this better. I much prefer riding with my mirrored (tinted would be fine too) sheild than the clear + sunglasses, though if its evening and I am going out I'll go that route anyways cause it makes more sense. Looking to get a blue mirror sheild next, maybe it will be halfway between the dark and clear, so I can ride it in dusk and almost dark or even dark, and would only need sunglasses under SOME of the time. Tinted shield also allows me to wear my glasses with it as well so I dont have to put in my eyes if they aint happy, or I can ride with sunglasses AND tinted sheild when its really bright.

...one really big pocket.
A picture from Newenough:

Normally it would be fully in the pocket with the zipper up of course....
JR has that on a few models. Pretty cool I think. The shield sort of raps around your rib cage on the right... a little funky but comfortable and secure. Only breakage worry I've had was thinking someone might sit on the jacket when I wasn't wearing it.

I saw that jacket in a store and thought to myself "holy cow, is that a face shield holding pocket!" Very nice idea by JR.dieziege wrote:...one really big pocket.
