It appears to depend on the helmet. Bring your shades in with you when you are helmet shopping. Some fit, some don't.
Ya right, there are only 2 kinds of bikes: It's a Ninja... look that one's a Harley... oh there's a Ninja... Harley...Ninja...

Or better yet....

Bring your helmet in with you when buying shades to make sure the shades fit in your lid. Buy the shades to fit the helmet, not the helmet to fit the shades. 8)
No Witnesses.... :shifty:

My shades were $500, my helmet $200. "procreating" presciption glasses...

I made sure the helmet fit the shades.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

My helmet goes on while I'm wearing the shades....

I now have an incredible *ahem* high-tech solution to the sun shade problem. It's so awesome your jaw will drop, so just sit down first. ok, ready? Simply take regular sunglasses and break off one of the sticks that goes over your ear. The remaining stick will slide into the helmet easily and the padding will hold the glasses securely. To minimize discomfort, the remaining stick should be as thin as possible and should not wrap around. Amazing, huh? I discovered this by accident (literally!).
hope this helps!
I just squint a lot.
