Gas Rage

Are you kidding me?

People actually get violent with clerks about the price of gas? It's only $3 a gallon, its not going to bankrupt anyone. Just quit driving so much and buying Starbucks coffee and you're even.

When you work customer service for a while you eventually get used to being blamed for things that are beyond your control.

I usually just say something like, "I just press the buttons, and do what the computer tells me," when I'm being harassed about the price of something.

God damn I hate people.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

Heh. yep people suck. and not in that good behind the bleachers at halftime way.

IT is good for getting blamed for things.

On the flipside of dealing with people, it gets to where you deal with such a huge quantity of total Morons, that you treat the people with half a clue like they just fell off the idiot truck. Which then pisses em off so that They act like tards.....hrmmmm kind of a cyclical thing there.

I had a guy come in yesterday because he had a number of viruses, spyware, trojans, adware, etc., and windows wouldn't boot. So I fixed that problem, and found out the reason for this was the large amount of popcorn sites the guy was visiting each day. He didn't want to pay me to remove all of the viruses, so he took the computer home, knowing full well there were still many viruses on it. So he comes back in today, telling me I need to fix his computer because it's not working again. So I take a look at it (for free) and it turns out at around 6:30pm yesterday, he started visiting some more popcorn sites, putting more viruses on his system. He got the computer back from us at 5:30pm yesterday, so withing an hour he was back ruining his computer with popcorn, lol. And he kept blaming me. I was just like "hey, I told you there were still viruses, and you didn't want to pay me to remove them. Maybe you should visit less adult web pages, that will cut down you problems a little."

At my last job we had denied people access to streaming sites like radio sites that stream their informaiton over the internet. These sites are huge bandwith hogs. We enabled the block at 9pm.

When I got in at 10am the next morning there was a trouble ticket waiting for me. A man said this:

"I am a disabled soldier of the US. I fought for the freedom of speach Rush Limbaugh exercises. Therefore by you blocking Rush Limbaugh from my computer you have violated my civil rights and Mr. Limbaugh's right to free speach!"

Soo what was this guy doing with his time at work....
