Fun no start problem.

#1 Unread post by crueldemonicsoul »

Ok, Bought a 82 Honda magna 750 from a friend at work, and am in process of getting my liscence, I tend to go out and start the bike and ride it around the block and such, let it warm up like once a week. Well, I let the bike sit for about 2 weeks, went out to start it, and it was cranking but wouldnt start, so had someone with more experience go out and try to crank it, Incase i did something wrong, when he tried we got long drawn out cranks, so we figured the battery was dead. It was low so we gave it a charge. After letting it charge, we tried to start it, and the bike wouldnt even turn over, lights are all coming on, everything else seems to be working, but it wont even attempt to turn over, no wires were moved or messed with, and no fuses are blown that I can see... Any Ideas before I start buying random parts? :) Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

You may have aporblem with the starter cylanoid, try taking it off and brining it to a shop and get them to test it for ya. cant hurt anything and they will prolly do it for free.

Just cleaned the carbs on one of these bad boys yesterday. Not fun! Honda V-Fours are the worst carbs to clean. Got her running sweet though. Good luck with your prob and pray that it's not hydrolocked!
CHECK YOUR TIRE PRESSURE REGULARLY!!!
