1980 honda cm400t help

hello,im new here i recently purchased a 80 honda cm 400t,for my first bike.the engine is a little noisey but runs great,i think it may need the valves adjusted as well as the cam tensioner,can anyone help me out,i would like to try it myself,i have all available tools,but not sure on where to begin?thanks

Buy a service manual for it if you intend on doing the work yourself. Happy wrenching!
