Sure you want to finance that 250??

Its one thing to buy one outright... but being tied down for 2-4 years in a financing deal?? You might be kicking yourself in six months.

I know I know... no bike is too small for these forums. I know everyone on these forums tells you a 250 is fine, but you will be the one holding the note if you outgrow the bike quickly.

assuming you made some kind of down payment and keep it for at least a few (maybe 6 months) and make those payments you wont be upside down on the bike unless you wreck it. these bikes hold their value very well. a lot of people dont believe in financing toys and thats fine, but this specific bike is a pretty safe one to go into debt for.

i paid $3500 OTD for my 06' and that was tax tag title and everything. i feel like i got an okay deal. (not the best but not completely ripped off)

if gas prices keep rising, i swear that 70+mpg will make these bike appreciate in value.

I can pay for the bike entirely so financing isn't an issue, I planned on paying it off within 3-6 months anyways. I just recently graduated from college so I don't have a lot of established credit. I would have paid for the bike using my credit card if my limit wasn't so low, I wanted to finance cause it would help my credit rep. I can pay for cash either way so it's not that big of a deal I just wanted to do something that would help me establish credit.

I got some advice from a couple guys who work at Road Riders and they told me that it was a little high for that bike and to call them some places to get more quotes and negotiating. They also told me at the end of the month was usually a better time to go bike hunting.

It's a bummer there aren't many Kawasaki's dealers in my area.

No , you couldn't .
Best regards, Wizzard
I had my Alphasport GV250 ready to roll in about 45 minutes, from the crate... that includes removing it from the crate. That was the first time I put together a bike, and I did it by myself... you bet your "O Ring" they can get it done in 30 minutes.
I don't know how complete that Alphasport comes because we don't carry that model . And even if it was mostly together did you re-torque everything in that 45 minutes? Because we do . And that's the least of it .

Hello,

Didn't read all of the posts, but you definitely are getting a bad deal. Dealers don't mark up the cost on 250's too much but they try to slap on a whole bunch of taxes.

When I went to look at a 250 if you read a post I made about a week ago first they tried to quote me otd at 4000 or 4100. I of course declined and got them down to $3491 before I said I'd check it out other places and come back. I wouldn't pay more then that price and neither should you. Some even get as low as $3400, maybe lower. $4k, absolutely not.
