TRE - timing mentally challenged eliminator.

taken from checkeredflagmotorsports website... i bought a "smart" TRE from them.
After the TRE installation gear changing will be much smoother. The TRE will also disable the speed limiter on the following models: GSXR1000 and GSX1300R.

-The TRE unit cancels out and gets rid of all that snatchy on/off throttle response.
-The power is delievered smoothly and is much more usable; especially under 4500RPM (i.e. You can get on the throttle quicker and there is more of it too).
-On the 1000 and 1300 it also shuts off the high speed limiter and lets the bike run for as fast as the engine has power for.
-As soon as you fit this unit and before you ride off, give the bike a couple of revs and you will immediatly notice the difference in the throttle response.
-But be warned!! This product will make the difference, so take time to get used to your added drivability of the motorcycle.
This part is a simple plug in that vastly improves drivability in the lower gears and on the later top speed restricted models, the TRE removes the restriction.
im not interested in removing the top speed limiter but i would really like to feel how my bike is w/o the retarted 1st-4th gear and low rpms.

im not even gonna gain hp since once i hit 5th gear, it'll be the same as before.

also, im not using my gear indicator anymore so problem there.

yeah, i know... im going to take it easy after i install it and re-learn my bike.

not that my bike is slow on 1st-4th gear... but after learning that its mentally challenged. it bugged me. i wanna fix it. :D

and yes, i do feel the mentally challenged, especially when im starting from a stop... i just thought it was normally like that. now i've found out that it's easy and cheap to fix.

Uuummm... your right. I don't have a good answer for that.....

At least one day I can bust loose with a big 'I told you so' just before my head explodes.

I just hope he's alive to read it.....

While we're on the subject....

Don't it bother you that your timing will always be mentally challenged? No matter what gizmo you add to your bike? Or that the faster your engine spins, the more mentally challenged it becomes?

Ugh. I hate oil threads. Synthetic oil is not a scam. Also, Verm, Put it in your bike the next oil change. I don't think you'll feel any kind of performance differance until you get into the higher revs. But it will better protect your engine. (Don't sportbikes like yours come with synthetic out of the box???)

PS - I think you are wasting your money on your TRE. Just my opinion. But if you want better lowdown performance you should have gotten a twin (Like a ducati or an sv650.) You are just putting yourself more at risk. Be careful dude.

Not even then will it be an "SBK".
