That always sucks.
Luckily those are cheap repairs.
Try asking on Craig's List and maybe someone will volunteer to help you fix it cheap or free!

But help me out here... how is it your headlight hit the pole?
Wouldn't your front wheel take the blow if you're riding a cruiser especially?

the lunchtime guy turned into the 2pm guy. He seemed interested, but i think he wants to wait it out and see if he can lowball me

at least thats the impression I got.
I was parking the bike, and it was kinda leaning over, half on its sidestand, when it hit the pole. Hard to explain. I wasnt really on the bike, but standing over top of it.

Lesson learned, dont park next to poles!

you have to park next to poles so as to not be in the middle of the sidewalk, and thereby get a ticket
