On a poker run you don't get a card, you get a piece of paper with your name on it with 5 blank spaces to write the cards down, you make 5 stops at different locations, each stop you pick one card (face down) and the official writes down what card it is on ur piece of paper, when you come back you hand in ur paper and the best hand wins the prize. Most of the places you stop at are bars and a deck of cards is spread out on a table with someone in charge that watches you pick the card and he writes it down. What they do is write down on their own records your name and what card you picked so there's no cheating, and who would dare cheat with 300 mean, drunk bikers around?

Poker Runs are very popular around here, there is always one somewhere every weekend. For some of you guys that never rode in one, ur missing a lot of fun. Poker Runs are started for some type of charity, like for a sick child that needs money for an operation, most of the time each biker pays $20 and I have been to some where they get 800 to 1000 people. The fun part is everybody rides together in a group, we end up taking over the roads, the cops look the other way when ur breaking some minor traffic laws, you get to look and talk to others about their bike and your bike, get to show off either your bike, ur tee shirt with some discusting words, or show off ur sexy dressed biker babe. Then when you come back from the run they feed you, sometimes a pig roast, other times bar bq chicken. If you go to one and you own a bike that nobody else owns you will be the center of attention. The first prize ranges from $1000 to $250, then there are prizes for the best looking bike, the sexiest biker babe and so on, its a lot of fun, I suggest go to one.
