I'm very sorry, I meant no offense to you, I was halfawake when I wrote this and the first and second post must have blurred together. No, I've never held anything against you and I didn't mean to direct any offense toward you.

if i had a choice of hanging out at a dealership or doing jail time i would choose jail.that bunch of clown posers that hang out there are just breathing air somebody else could use.total waste of skin.after dark you can find them at the bar.a hard trip of 1/4 mile from dealership.

I think this can be taken on a case by case basis....

Theres a great HD Dealership which is a perfect stop off point for those long rides to the Keyes and the southern most point of Florida in general...they even have events like BBQ's and mini-shows going on at least once a month...

This seems to be an awfully broad brush being used on this thread....

And the HD dealership I mentioned is right in the middle of Sydney. It is not on the way to or from anything so the majority of riders that go there have to travel a fair way through Sydney traffic to get there. Ride the many great bike roads outside of Sydney frequented by many, many riders ( and me almost every weekend) and a Harley is hard to come by but get within 5 miles of Fraser's and you don't go a few seconds without hearing that familiar sound.

there is a BMW dealer here that wants folks to come hang out...
pool table (free), pinball machine, sodas, etc, et al...

the people I seen hanging around infront of the dealers like you describe reminds me of 'king of the hill' on tv....the guys hanging out in the alley drinking beer...
yup...

Maybe these guys are hanging out just so they could show off their bikes, but showing off bikes to other bikers isn't that exciting, its no big deal I have seen a crotch rocket with an oversize rear tire before. I was wondering if you guys in this forum do that. I would never hang out at a dealership they all hate my guts.
Really? i'd have to say a good percentage of the time I get on my bike I really don't have a destination, to me it's just about getting out there. Most of the time if we're just cruising and happen to be in the area we will pop in at the dealership where we get our bikes and see what's new. Like Mustang mentioned, sometimes they have some events, BBQ whatever... Do we spend alot of time there, no not really, but we do go by every once in a while.

I don't see what the big deal is. I used to hang out at the hotrod speed shop when I had my hotrod...I hang out at the bike shop now that I'm into bikes.

Guaranteed to find like-minded people there, mostly willing to talk with anyone.

I wave to everyone...I don't give a flyin' 'f what you are riding.

maybe these guys are looking for a Ride Captain who will pay for their fuel, lunch and a commemorative "I'm With Moto --->" T-Shirt?

About 50 miles away from here is a huge HD dealer that always has at least 40 or so people with their bikes parked "hanging out". they dont just hang out all day. This dealership is a very popular meeting point for group rides in the area.
