I had to visit my dealership yesterday to exchange insults and buy an oil filter but I always notice everytime I go there there is always a group of bikers hanging out there outside in the lot, they just stand there next to their bike and just stare at you when you walk past them to inside the dealership. I once asked if the dealer is having a bike show or something? Is it just me? cause that makes no sence to me and its a waste of time standing there, when I get on my bike I have somewhere to go for a reason and I ride. Maybe these guys are hanging out just so they could show off their bikes, but showing off bikes to other bikers isn't that exciting, its no big deal I have seen a crotch rocket with an oversize rear tire before. I was wondering if you guys in this forum do that. I would never hang out at a dealership they all hate my guts.

I never hang out at a dealership, they charge you for breathing their air. They hate my guts too, I have been shopping for a bike for 3 months and I ain't going to buy until I see what I want and get a deal. The guys you see in the parking lot at the dealership have no life beyond their motorbike.

Not all of them are low lifes. I like to hang around just to look at bikes and maybe talk to a few people about their rides.
The guys at the shop are cool and plus sometimes while im looking at a bike the parts guys tell me that they gotta get rid of some stock and make room for new stuff and told me if I wanted any of it it's 75% off.
One thing you can count on: You push a man too far, and sooner or later he'll start pushing back.
I dunno about hanging out at the dealership, but I take a monthly visit to go sit on bikes (and normally buy parts).

I drove past a "yes we have a dyno but no, we don't work on Suzuki's" Harley and Ducati dealer today and saw an assembly of wankers standing around their bikes in front of the shop. I commented that on a lovely day what sort of fool gets on their bike, rides to a bike shop and stands around aimlessly for a few hours?
I guess it also explains when I am out riding nice roads why I don't see the same people on their bikes. It is all show, and no go.
DieMonkeys: I treated you bad ? Read some of my posts, I don't flame anyone on this forum. You need to get a life too. XS

im gonna pipe in here only because i work at a dealership.
most of the guys that are regulars at our shop stop in while they are out rideing. we have a soda machine...a bath room...and free hot dogs and sausages on saturdays. and there are eve more people that come just to look at these ridiculus machines. and there is also the goober that has absolutly nothing better to do. and it really is a pain in the "O Ring" to work on something your not specialized in. especially if your talking ducatis. they have all kinds of specialty tools and crazey stuff. not to mention completly different motors. so give em break.
