we were hugging the yellow, but i'll take my chances with oncoming traffic WAY before i'll intentionally mess with the gravel on the outsides of the road.

I meant on the blinds but it's still good to make it 2nd nature. Not on the opposite edge (gravel city) but on an imaginary line a couple feet from the yellow to give a cushion.

I was riding last week up to Evergreen from Morrison on the twistys (lots of blinds, makes you think your riding in a circle they are so long) and sure enough a stupid cager comes whipping around in my lane. Damn glad I wasn't on the yellow or I would have hit the slacker.

Gravel sucks but head on impact is always worse.

Just my opinion :) Ride safe.
