Anything can powerslide. It's not hard. You can do it on a damn bicycle. It's something little kids on 50's can do. So yes, it can powerslide.

The XT225 is something I've been looking at too. Very low price, and it would look dead sexy with smaller wheels and slick tires.

The drum brake on the back might rule the motard option out.

thanks mint.
but could you expand on that?
will the drum brake make powerslides harder?

Flattrackers powerslide without any brakes at all, so I doubt it.

Um, Verm, those bikes you posted are not supermotos. They're just vanilla enduro bikes.
True SM bikes have sportbike wheels/tires, beefier brakes, and sometimes upgraded front forks. For example, the Suzuki DRZ-400 SM:
Note the inverted fork and the 17 inch sprotbile tires.

yeah i know... that's why im asking if i can ride them like a supermoto.
and regarding your example... nicky was using his supermoto on both pavement and dirt.
that suzuki doesn't look like it can handle dirt riding w/ those tires.

I am confused by your use of the words brake and powerslide together. Powersliding is exactly that, a controlled slide, under power, exiting a corner.
Backing it in involves stomping the bike down a few gears coming into a corner and using the compression lock up to step the rear of the bike out for a tighter line through the corner.
My point about the drum brake is that you will not find 17in spoked wheels with a drum on the rear worthy of motard riding. As stated by MontyCarlo, they are full-on racing type bikes with strong frames and big suspenders.
